Trimo at an altitude of 2070 m

Trebnje, 16th November 2009 – At the end of October the Kamnik mountain rescue team, with the help of a Slovenian Armed Forces' helicopter, were on a demanding mission to position a new accommodation hut at Legarje, on Veliki podi, at the foot of the Grintovec mountain peak.
The new accommodation hut that replaced an old, decrepit “shack”, is made from Trimoterm panels, and is able to provide shelter for about 8 climbers if surprised by bad weather in the mountains.

It was designed by the architect and alpinist, Miha Kajzelj, and is located at an altitude of 2070 m, which makes it one of the highest-positioned accommodation huts in Slovenia.

An interesting fact about this hut is that it participated in the 2007 Trimo Architecture Awards, and made it into the finals.
