Primary steel construction
The primary, basic construction is composed of load-bearing frames and stabilisation elements that assure stability of a facility and transfers loads to reinforced concrete foundations. It is protected with a basic coating; and the final coating is painted in the production process or during assembly.Advantages
- enables numerous, attractive architectural solutions
- material has excellent construction and application characteristics
- environmentally friendly
- high earthquake safety factor
- fast and simple to construct
The primary construction is composed of:
- final frames
- intermediate frames
- wind-protection/ stabilisation cover
- other stabilisation systems
- floor structure
- brackets for crane rails
- crane rails
Basic technical information
The primary steel structure is sandblasted at a quality of SA 2.5 according to ISO 12 944/4 and protected ISO 12 944/4. The structure is protected with an anti-corrosive ground coating (EPOLOR HB LT miox, thickness 80 um s.f.) and one application during assembly (Rezistol enamel AV, thickness 40 um s.f.). The anti-corrosion protection has a total thickness of 120 um. It can be made in a hot galvanised variety. In this case the basic and final coatings are not necessary. A different AKZ protection is possible for more demanding climate conditions – one that is adapted to specific demands of the customer. The final and intermediate frames are constructed from hot rolled I profiles according to EN 19-57 made from the material S 235 (St. 37-2) or S 355 (St. 52-3) according to EN 10025.
Assembly
Assembly is fast, simple and suitable for all types of facilities.
